Terms of Use
Last updated: May 26, 2026
1. Agreement
By accessing or using FTC Tracker, including the iOS/macOS app, website, Team Hub, Team Spaces, newsletter, APIs, AI features, widgets, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal, educational, and FTC team activities. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, abuse, or interfere with the Services except where allowed by law.
3. Data Sources and Accuracy
FTC Tracker displays public FTC team, event, match, award, ranking, score breakdown, and statistics data from public FIRST Tech Challenge sources and FTC Tracker calculations. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or availability. Public data, calculated stats, OPR-style metrics, advancement information, and AI summaries may be incomplete or incorrect and should be verified against official sources before relying on them.
4. Pro Subscription
Optional Pro features may be offered through Apple in-app purchase or other supported billing providers. Apple subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled through Apple ID settings. If Stripe or another provider is used for web/backend billing, that provider's billing terms apply. Prices, feature limits, free usage limits, renewal periods, and included Pro features may change. Refunds are handled by the applicable payment provider unless required otherwise by law.
5. Accounts and Team Workspaces
Some features require an account or team workspace. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account. Team Hub and Team Spaces are collaborative tools; content you add may be visible to teammates, invited users, or anyone with access to the relevant team or join code. Team owners, admins, captains, schools, mentors, or organizations may manage or remove shared content and access according to the roles available in the Services.
6. User Content
You keep ownership of scouting notes, team posts, announcements, tasks, inventory entries, budget items, uploaded images, templates, AI prompts, voice transcripts, and other content you submit ("User Content"). You grant FTC Tracker a limited license to host, process, display, transmit, store, back up, and otherwise use User Content as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Services. Do not upload content you do not have permission to use, and do not include sensitive personal information unless necessary for your own team workflow.
7. AI and Voice Features
Rulebook Chat, voice scouting, and other AI-assisted features are provided for educational, scouting, and productivity purposes. AI output may be wrong, incomplete, outdated, or misinterpret FTC rules or scouting context. AI responses are not official FIRST rulings and are not a substitute for the current Game Manual, official Q&A, event staff, referees, inspectors, or other official sources. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before using it.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Services, including by attempting to bypass authentication, rate limits, subscriptions, or security controls; scraping or overloading APIs; uploading unlawful, harmful, harassing, infringing, or malicious content; sharing invite codes publicly in a way that disrupts a team; using the Services to violate school, event, or team policies; or violating applicable laws, third-party rights, payment provider terms, or API terms.
9. Newsletter and Communications
If you subscribe to the newsletter or enable notifications, we may send service messages, product updates, feature announcements, or team-related notifications. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails and may disable push notifications through your device settings.
10. Beta Features and Availability
Some features, including Team Hub, Team Spaces, AI services, live sync, analytics, notifications, or APIs, may be released as beta, experimental, or limited-availability features. We may modify, pause, limit, or discontinue features at any time. We are not responsible for outages, third-party downtime, data source changes, or loss of access caused by network, hosting, payment, App Store, API, or service-provider issues.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.
12. Intellectual Property
FTC Tracker and its content are owned by Jake Lerner or licensors. FIRST, FIRST Tech Challenge, and related marks are property of FIRST and are used for identification only. This app is not affiliated with or endorsed by FIRST.
13. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FTC Tracker and its creator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, event outcomes, team decisions, subscription issues handled by payment providers, or reliance on inaccurate public data, AI output, or scouting information.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
